Although autumn has announced its arrival with rain, blæst og køligere temperature sker det dog at vi forsat er heldig med en eller to dage med varme temperature. Friday had Lise and I both have a day off so when the weather service reported temperatures between 25-27 degrees, we decided a day on motorcycle.

We left Point of Rocks with the rate against Skyline drive. Along the way, we ate lunch in Front Royal, VA at the entrance to Skyline Drive.

When we drove up on Skyline drive the weather was still nice so there was a great view, but we could see the clouds began to withdraw into the mountains when the fine weather would turn into rain late in the day.

To ensure we got home in dry weather we therefore decided to return home after, however not to the same route as on the outward journey. We therefore left Front Royal via Rute66 against Washington DC, but turned ca. 25 miles før Washington imod Leesburg mod Point of Rocks. A nice trip in as 240 km. We reached home that Mette had picked Sarah from the school bus and a half-hour before it started to rain. Sådan 🙂
