“Today is Sarah's birthday, hurray, hurray, hurray” we sang from the morning. A day Sarah has long looked forward to and planned over and over again several times.
When the birthday fell on a school day, Trine was already off to school when we sang the birthday song. A few minutes later, Mette was also on her way out the door, but she just managed to give Sarah a birthday hug before she had to leave. But most important of all, we celebrated Sarah before Lise also had to leave for work when she meets early Friday.
Sarah had blah. wanted a watch and a pendant from Pandora.
But also wanted clothes and bikinis.
The breakfast could not be more American, donut with crumbs and chocolate icing.
After school, pm. 17.00 started the birthday party. Sarah had invited 12 girls for party and overnight. First they had to eat Pizza(which Lise picked up on the way home from work), chips and soda. Then unwrap presents and play a little, before moving on to the roller skating rink in Hagerstown.
No doubt everyone had a lot of fun running on roller skates.
Home again, the girls got birthday cake with ice cream before bedtime. Of course, it took some time before everyone calmed down. There was to be talk, fnises, have fun and tell stories. However, everyone eventually fell asleep. The next morning, Lise had made pancakes for breakfast.
Most important of all. Sarah thought she had a really nice birthday and birthday party.
