Sarah has in past years been part of Brunswick middle schools Color Guard team which has meant that they practice a few times a week after school and has demonstrations every weekend in March. The grand finale is the weekend of 7 April.

Color guard er en slags flagdans og kan betragtes som en opvisning til musk med flag, rifler og sabler baseret på et team. Sarah’s holds team i år er “frikvarter” og deres opvisning tager dermed udgangspunkt i de ting som de normalt vil lave i et frikvarter som hop i sip, kinkesteen, mv med de indbyggede aktiviteter som er en del af color guard.

“The purpose of the color guard is to interpret the music that the marching band or drum and bugle corps is playing via the synchronized work of flags, sabres, rifles, the air blade, and through dance.”
