Hope everyone is well, as well as are fresh and fast, and not least in safety for the Corona epidemic that is currently spreading rapidly across most of the world.
It's been some time since you heard from us. So here's a little update from God's own country. We are all fine 5, although of course the changes have also affected us, but fortunately we are not affected by disease. In many ways, the situation is perhaps even slightly positive, as we now have the opportunity to spend more time together, and relax because. less stress as some of our activities are put on hold.
Corona outbreak in the USA meant for us that Trine, when she came home on spring break in March from Salisbury University, didn't have to go back to school again after the holidays. School was closed for the rest of the school year and her teaching for the rest of the year is now distance learning. It was initially unclear when and when we would have to pick up her personal belongings from the school, but that is now also finished.
Brunswick High School is also closed for Mette and Sarah. Initially only until the end of April, but now the future 15. Maj. They therefore also participate in distance learning on a daily basis. For Mette, it is a special situation as she will be a student this summer and this means that it is still unknown how the end will take place, many things like prom, etc. are currently. postponed indefinitely.
Based on advice from the National Board of Health, the American Dental Association has chosen to remain open only for acute and emergency cases, but the result is that Lise and most of the staff are late home indefinitely. There is only around 8-9 employees, incl. dentists, reception, etc. who are at work in a rotation to look after the shifts that are needed. Lise naturally hopes to get her job back once we are back in a new normal situation.
For Torben, the world is in many ways unchanged, perhaps with the change that he is now home every day after 15 months where he was perhaps only at home one week a month. It's a nice but also much-needed change. Since he started at BEUMER, Torben has had an office at home, then the new one “work from home” situation, is everyday life for him. Apart from the fact that there is less travel activity, the days are basically the same with long days (10-12 timer) with telephone/video meetings with customers and/or colleagues in Denmark, Germany, as well as the United States. Many of BEUMER's customers are supermarkets and infrastructure customers, so there is high pressure on the service department to keep the wheels running, especially due to. the new situation with corona and constant change in legislation in the various states. It is a balance to keep the wheels turning with service to our customers, as well as ensuring that safety is top notch for BEUMERS employees with safety equipment, etc.
